Wolverhampton Bound; Dean Winstanley in the Grand Slam of Darts

It’s a busy time for Dean Winstanley, with a ProTour weekend in Crawley just finished, it’s time to look forwards to the upcoming Grand Slam of Darts – televised on Sky Sports.  The tournament is a unique mixture of the best of darts, with players from both the BDO and the PDC taking each other on for a chunk of the £400,000 prize money.

It’s also a unique event for the PDC because of the round robin stage – with groups of four players playing each other in a mini darts league, before progressing to a knock-out section (top 2 from each group).

The draw took place last night, and Dean was drawn in the group containing the very on-form seeded player Simon Whitlock, and is also joined by Kevin Painter, and the youth world champion James Hubbard.    Once we have the TV schedule we will obviously update here for all Dean’s fans to plan their viewing – remember it’s all live on Sky Sports, or you can watch highlights (or live if outside the UK) on the official PDC streaming website, Livepdc.tv.

The Sky Sports schedule has now been released – and in fact Dean Winstanley will OPEN THE EVENT, against Kevin Painter – it should be a cracker!
